This was a huge hit at my house tonight! I used mostly foods from Trader Joe's (because they're so delicious) but you can use whatever you can find of course.
1 can Trader Joe's refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1/2 cup Trader Joe's organic ketchup
1 pound ground beef
1/4 C. Trader Joe's agave syrup
1 tablespoon balsmic vinegar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 C. shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/4 C. Trader Joe's marinara sauce
Spray a 12 cup muffin tin, preheat oven to 375 degrees. Tear dough to make 12 biscuits (about 3/4 of a biscuit) and shape into 5 inch circles. Press each into the bottom and up sides of muffin cups; set aside. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and drain. In a small bowl mix remaining ingredients and add to meat, mix well. Divide meat mixture among the twelve biscuit lined cups and then top with cheese. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.

I made this slighly different.
ReplyDeleteAdded mixed vegetables and mushrooms. I placed biscuits in casserole dish instead of muffin pan. Served with Trader Joe's Brocolli and Kale Slaw. Deeelicious...I call my dish Savory Beef Biscuits.
